這是一個發生在廣闊無垠沙漠上，橫跨六十年、有關三代女性生命故事的壯闊史詩。懷有身孕的奧蕾雅，追隨瘋狂丈夫來到沙漠不毛之地建立莊園，大自然的無常力量吞噬了一切，前後三代女性憑著強悍生命力存活下去，但奧蕾雅重回文明世界的希望企盼始終未能實現。絕美攝影拍下的沙丘奇景，巧妙呼應女主角的處境與心境。
On the sandy plains of northern Brazil, three generations of women live a story filled with profound emotions ranging from despair to fulfillment. They persevere as they are challenged by the forces of Mother Nature and the inhospitable sand dunes which play pivotal roles in their lives. It celebrates the struggles, passions and deep hidden desires of people trapped by their fate.
