An incident 20 years in the past changes the lives of two strangers forever. A Gou, a rookie cop, forsook young Yu Zai to a horrible fate. The guilt drives him to drink and tears apart his marriage. Yu Zai grows up to become a petty gangster and takes one last job to take care of his wife and newborn. A Gou’s wife is killed during Yu Zai’s job. A Gou promises his daughter that he will find the killer.
