國寶級編劇大師沃夫岡柯爾海斯，與「德國麥克李」安卓爵森繼《陽台前的夏天》之後，再度攜手推出喜劇新作。票房保證的一線明星酗酒又難搞，拍片進度一再落後，眼看影片就要毀在他手上，電影公司發出最後通牒——不戒酒就換角，找來新進演員，同一角色一鏡兩拍以備取代一線明星，這下大明星的酒全醒了，但菜鳥也不是省油的燈……。
Otto is a popular actor with thirty years of cinema fame. A film has failed because of his heavy drinking and the one he’s working on now is threatening to go the same way. A little-known and younger actor is hired to replace Otto in case he falls out again. The scenes are shot twice that leads to a serious but funny duel between them.
