改編自馬奎斯1994年同名小說，娓娓道出一段禁忌的愛：在教廷當權、奴隸制度盛行的年代，情竇初開的紅髮貴族少女，從小由非洲女奴照顧，一日意外在市集慘遭狂犬病狗咬傷，主教宣稱她已被魔鬼附身，派任年輕傳教士負責為少女驅魔。兩人的靈魂逐漸相互吸引，在同情與慾望之間交纏，分不清是愛情的誘惑，還是魔鬼的試煉。
Based on Gabriel García MÁRQUEZ’s most harrowing love story. During a time of inquisition and slavery, 13-year-old Sierva María, daughter of aristocrats but raised by African slaves, has bitten by a rabid dog. The bishop declares she is possessed and entrust his pupil with her exorcism. The priest and the girl find themselves seduced by a demon more powerful than faith and reason.
