A retired nurse lives with her son in a middle class neighbourhood. Mother and son are extremely dependent on each other, in a relationship not devoid of eroticism. She becomes afflicted by a fear of losing him when her routine life is threatened by his change in behavior. Their relationship becomes marked by aggression, with increased displays of erotic affection for each other.
