本片導演是法國3D影像製作的先驅，從1986年起，參與超過三十部3D影像的製作。本片紀錄了海豚與鯨魚的棲息生態，透過3D的呈現方式，觀眾將體驗彷如親自在海底看到座頭鯨在眼前游過的全新感受。
