一對外籍建築工人與女僕，正打算在他鄉異地建立新家庭，工人卻因爭執引發了死亡意外事件，驚慌之下逃往女友主人家的閣樓藏匿。工人就像大宅裡的幽魂，每天晝伏夜出覓食，窺視大宅裡的一舉一動。看著這家人對女僕的言語暴力及身體騷擾，工人心疼懷孕的女友，近在咫尺卻無法伸手援救，無能為力的憤怒如烈火熊熊燃起。
South American immigrants working in Spain, builder José and housekeeper Rosa are very much in love. When a violent confrontation with his foreman results in the other man's death. José hides in the abandoned attic of the mansion where Rosa works. He begins a secret life - half voyeur, half ghost. He listens, he watches, unable to act, his anger growing.
