Antonio, a paid assassin, rides out to a plantation whose workers are demanding that the landowner share his property with them. His job is to kill the group's leader. Antonio accomplishes the job, but his sympathies gradually shift to the peasants and joins with them in a climactic and dazzling fight to overturn an outmoded and feudal power structure.
